Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC) is excited to announce that they will host the Family, Community, and Career Leaders of America (FCCLA) District Star Events Competition on Friday, January 30, 2015. Over 200 students from 14 area schools will be competing in 19 different events. The opening ceremony is at 8:30 on the Main Campus, and competitions begin at 9:30.

The Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority and Barren River Local Workforce Investment Board were awarded a $50,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to design a program addressing local employers’ needs in filling Advanced Manufacturing Technician positions.
