KCTCS ANNOUNCES DUAL CREDIT SCHOLARSHIP FOR HIGH SCHOOL JUNIORS

Beginning this fall, the Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) will offer a free dual credit class to Kentucky public high school juniors, allowing them to earn high school and college credit at the same time. The KCTCS program for juniors aligns with Gov. Matt Bevin’s new dual credit initiative primarily for high school seniors, which provides them the opportunity to take two college courses via the new Kentucky Dual Credit Scholarship.

The graduation celebration for Barren County Adult Education was held on June 23, 2016 at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College (SKYCTC), Glasgow Campus. Friends and family celebrated the academic achievement of the twenty Adult Education students in Barren County who were in this year’s graduating class.

The Kentucky Restaurant Association (KRA), with additional support from Rafferty’s Restaurant, presented the Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical college (SKYCTC) Culinary Arts Program $7,000 to provide scholarships for area high school students pursuing culinary arts degrees at SKYCTC, as well as grants to area High School CFS Teacher for their classrooms.
