Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College and the Warren County Area Technology Center will host this year’s Region 5 SkillsUSA competition on Friday February 27, 2015. Region 5 schools include; Allen County Technology Center, Barren County Area Technology Center (ATC), Butler County ATC, Franklin-Simpson Vocational Center, Monroe County ATC, Russellville ATC, and the Warren County ATC.

Empty bowls and full hearts

Hundreds of guests at the Empty Bowls Event, which raises money for local food pantries, picked one of 750 bowls and ate meals of soup and bread donated by restaurants. They took home the bowl as a reminder that people face hunger daily. SKYCTC faculty and staff as well as the culinary students prepared and served the food.
