Former tech college innovator sets up scholarship

By CHARLES A. MASON- the Daily News - SKYCTC announced Tuesday that the Donald R. Miller Endowed Scholarship has been established in the amount of $20,000. The endowment's interest will fund scholarship money for SKYCTC students.

WIA, Simpson boards garner $50K federal training grant

The Franklin-Simpson Industrial Authority and Barren River Local Workforce Investment Board were awarded a $50,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Labor to design a program addressing local employers’ needs in filling Advanced Manufacturing Technician positions. Graduating high school seniors and other candidates will be able to work for a sponsoring employer and earn their AMT degree at Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College’s Franklin-Simpson Cent
