Campus/Class Cancellation

Unusual situations, such as severe weather, may require SKYCTC to delay its class schedule or close the institution. In the event severe weather poses a threat to the safety of SKYCTC students or employees, the College President (or his designee) will determine one of three types of schedules that all campuses will implement. The scheduling decision will be in effect for all locations equally (i.e. if the main campus is closed, both Glasgow locations will be closed), and all scheduling decisions will apply to students employees alike (i.e. if students report at 10:00 a.m. faculty and staff report at 10:00).

Campus and Crime Reports

Annual Crime Logs

Minger Act

The Michael Minger Act is a Kentucky state law that requires public colleges and universities as well as private institutions licensed by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) to report campus crimes to their employees, students and the public on a timely basis.

The below Minger Reports are for the years the college was Southcentral Kentucky Community and Technical College.

Clery Act

The Clery Act requires all colleges and universities that participate in federal financial aid programs to keep and disclose information about crime on and near their respective campuses.

Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry

This website is provided as a result of recent changes in KRS Chapter 17, Kentucky's version of "Megan's Law". The Kentucky State Police is now providing sex/criminal offender registration information to the public through this website. The intent of this site is public safety and awareness. This database is made available to alert possible victims of potential danger, not to punish or embarrass offenders.

Convicted sex/criminal offenders have always lived in our communities, only in recent years have laws been passed which have required these offenders to register with authorities. Unfortunately, many convicted offenders do re-offend. There is an overriding public interest and need to ensure the safety of the public by providing registered offender information. It is important to note that not all criminal offenses require registration with the state police, only those covered by the statute.

Free Speech Area Registration Form

If you would like to come onto campus and exercise your right to free speech please fill out the registration form 72 hours prior to your event.
